Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026 · Applies to monetri.uk and the Monetri platform
Draft — pending legal review. This policy was prepared as a working template covering the standard sections a UK/EU/Gulf-facing compliance software company needs. It has not yet been reviewed by qualified legal counsel and should not be published or relied upon until it has — in particular the data transfer, retention, and regulator-notification sections, which depend on your final corporate structure and licensing.

1. Who we are

Monetri Ltd. ("Monetri", "we", "us") is registered at DIFC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We provide an AI compliance workforce platform — KYC Lifecycle Manager, Case Management, agentic AI investigation, and Virtual AI MLRO services — to financial institutions and regulated businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit monetri.uk, contact us, or when your organisation uses the Monetri platform under a separate agreement.

2. The two roles we play

Because of what our platform does, we act in two different capacities, and different obligations attach to each:

As Data ControllerAs Data Processor
Website visitors, prospects, and business contacts who email us, request a demo, or subscribe to updates.End-customer KYC/AML data (names, ID documents, transaction data, risk scores) that our clients upload to the platform in order to run their own compliance function.

When we act as a processor, our client (the licensed financial institution) is the data controller and determines the purposes and means of processing. That relationship is governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement, not this policy. This policy covers our role as a controller only.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Website visitors

3.2 Prospective and existing clients

4. How we use this information

5. Legal basis for processing

Where UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or equivalent Gulf data protection law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (client onboarding and service delivery), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, improving our service), consent (marketing communications, where required), and compliance with a legal obligation (regulatory record-keeping).

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with: sub-processors who support our infrastructure (cloud hosting, email delivery) under written data protection terms; professional advisers (legal, audit); and regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to disclose it.

7. International transfers

Monetri operates across the United Kingdom, the European Union, and the Gulf. Where personal data is transferred across these regions, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable local law. [Confirm final transfer mechanism with counsel once hosting/sub-processor locations are finalised.]

8. Data retention

We retain business contact data for as long as needed to maintain the relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting purposes. Platform data processed on behalf of clients is retained per the retention schedule agreed in the applicable client contract, which typically reflects the statutory record-keeping period required of regulated financial institutions (commonly five years).

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. UK and EU residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

10. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review — designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

11. Children

Monetri is a business-to-business service and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
